When my two young boys started asking about evolution, I looked around for some evolution-themed toys. How many did I find? None, zero, nada. I could buy fun, colorful things about astronomy, geology, physics, even biology, but not evolution.
And this, my friends, makes me crazy. Even if we accept the sad state of evolution education in the classroom, surely the toy industry could make us some fun stuff to use at home. In the last few years I've taken a stab at filling this void myself (see the Giant Evolution Timeline.)
Evolution for Kids is a gathering place for parents and others who want to inspire children with the vast, dazzling history of life on Earth. Dinosaurs like this guy aren't the half of it, after all.
